The Plate Club ("the App", "we", "us") helps you run a members-only supper club with your team or friend group: rotating who cooks, voting on menus, tracking a per-plate budget, and rating meals. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it's used, and how it's protected.
Because The Plate Club is a shared, multi-person experience — your club roster needs to see whose turn it is, what was proposed, and how the meal was rated — some data is stored on our servers rather than only on your device. Specifically, we collect and store:
The App uses Sign in with Apple as its authentication method. Apple provides us with a unique identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address (or a private relay email address if you choose to hide your email). We use this solely to identify your account and associate it with your clubs. We never receive your Apple account password.
Club, rotation, voting, budget, and rating data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the United States, using industry-standard managed database and compute services. Access is restricted to what the App needs to function; we do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
We use Amplitude to collect anonymized, aggregated product-usage analytics — for example, which screens are visited or which features are used — so we can improve the App. Analytics events are tied to an anonymous device/account identifier, not directly to your name or email, and are never used for advertising or sold to third parties.
Plate Club Plus is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple — we never see or store your credit card or other payment information. Apple may share limited transaction information with us (such as subscription status and renewal dates) so the App can unlock the correct features for your account.
Because The Plate Club is a shared, social product, certain information you enter is visible to other members of the same club by design: your display name, your position in the cooking rotation, the menus you propose, your votes (visible to the cook after voting closes, per the app's voting rules), confirmed spend, and your plate ratings. Nothing you enter in one club is visible to members of a different club.
We retain club and account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing canenvarli@gmail.com. If you leave or are the last member to leave a club, that club's historical data is retained for other former members' records unless all members request deletion.
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be communicated in-app where practical.
Questions about this Privacy Policy or a data deletion request can be sent to canenvarli@gmail.com.
